Kick the Soda Addiction!

Kicking the soda habit can be a hard thing to do. The benefits of eliminating soda from your diet might be enough to persuade you to start switching it out for water ! You might be ditching the soda for health reasons or it might be for weight loss goals, whatever your reason your body will thank you !!
If you have migraines they will disappear and your menatal clarity will hit a peak.It turns out the headaches you expected from a diet-soda withdrawal didn't materialize. When you quit the drinking soda, you probably find yourself thinking with clearity for the first time in a while. In soda their are chemicals that make up the artificial sweetener aspartame which may have altered brain chemicals, nerve signals, and the brain's reward system, which leads to headaches, anxiety, and insomnia,
Soda inhibits tastes buds, so by kicking the soda you can now ENJOY and TASTE your food ! Artificial sweeteners in diet soda overwhelmed your taste buds with an onslaught of sweetness. Aspartame ranks 200 hundreds times sweeter than table sugar. Splenda? 600 times. In fact, brain scans show that diet soda alters sweet receptors in the brain and prolongs sugar cravings rather than satisfies them in turn causing you to WANT more sugar.
Using soda for weight loss is the wrong way to go about it. Drinking soda has a negative result on your weight and can have a link to increased obesity ! Drinking diet soft drinks daily is associated with an increase in metabolic syndrome such as obesity, high blood-pressure, high triglycerides which leads to heart disease and diabetes.
Our hormones may explain the great paradox of why people gain weight when they switch to diet soda. A study in Diabetes Care found that drinking two-thirds of a diet soda before eating primed the pancreas to release a lot of the fat-storing hormone insulin. When the pancreas is overworked from creating insulin to control blood-sugar levels, and forming diabetes is a real issue. A recent study in Japan found that middle-aged men who drank one or more diet sodas daily were much more likely to develop type 2 diabetes over a seven-year period.
Now that your body no longer has to make sense of the unpronounceable ingredients in diet soda, your kidneys can get back to clearing toxins, stabilizing blood pressure, and absorbing minerals. One study looked at 11 years of data and found that women who drank two or more servings of diet soda doubled their chances of declining kidney function.
Just reading these should make you think twice about your diet soda intake and start switching to better choices like water and unsweetened teas, especially green tea !!
