When choosing snacks to accompany your in-between meals, you need to look at the nutritional facts before you "assume" it's healthy for you. Take a look at the AdvoBar compared to the Cliff bar. Calories are roughly the same, as well as the fat content comparison.. But look at the sugar and protein ratios of the two, Notice a HUGE difference??
AdvoBars have 3 grams of sugar and 16 grams of protein compared to the Cliff bar with 21 grams of sugar and 9 grams of protein!
Nutritionally that is a BIG difference ! You want to make sure the sugar content is low and the protein is high .. WHY? A higher sugar content causes a SPIKE in insulin levels which causes a crash there after and that combined with high carbohydrates like the cliff bar and little protein to sustain you will leave you hungry and tired !!!
